Superhero is offering free 1,000 Qantas points to new customers who link their Superhero and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts. There is no requirement to trade or transfer funds to your Superhero account, as long as you are a new customer you are eligible for points.
It’s free to set up the account and from my own experience, only takes a few minutes. You will need to provide some kind of identification details during the sign-up process, so make sure you have your Drivers License, Medicare Card or Passport handy.
As per the terms of the offer, Superhero will credit the points to your account within 30 days.
How to Link Accounts
It is very easy to link your Superhero and Qantas accounts. Once you have successfully set up your Superhero account, go to the profile and you will see a page like this:

Who is Superhero?
For those not familiar, Superhero is a discount Australian broker who lets you trade and invest in Australian and U.S. shares. While researching Superhero for this post, I browsed their website and can confirm that they hold an AFSL. While nothing in life is 100% safe, it’s somewhat reassuring that they are not some fly-by-night operator trying to make a quick buck.
With a flat $5 brokerage on Aussie shares, they are perhaps one of the cheapest brokers around. As a comparison, brokerage at market leader Commsec starts at $10 and goes up in price as the value of your trade increases. You can also trade/invest in U.S. shares, brokerage and commission free, although I suspect Superhero is taking a cut on the currency conversion somewhere along in the process.
Earn up to 36,000 Qantas Points

Superhero is offering new customers an easy way to top-up their Qantas Frequent Flyer Account with 1,000 points. Then there are other offers where you can earn additional points totalling up to 36,000 points.
I value Qantas points at about 1.5c per point, which makes this offer worth up to $15. While not something to crow about, it only takes a few minutes of your time.
