What’s the deal

As part of the hearing awareness week (1-7 March 2020) Audika, maker of hearing aids and accessories have teamed up with Qantas Frequent Flyer and are offering members 3,000 Qantas points for taking a hearing test.

The test itself is free and understood to take around 10 minutes. You don’t need to have hearing problems to take the test, you just need to be 26 years of age or over. So that might rule some people out unfortunately.

3 steps to earning 3,000 Qantas points

This is how it works :

• Book the hearing test by 7th March 2020.

• Wait for 3,000 Qantas points to hit your account.

I got a call from Audika within few hours of requesting the appointment to confirm the date and time. They also asked for my Qantas Frequent Flyer number, so make sure you have that handy. If your hearing is fine, chances are you will never hear back from Audika.

If they detect something in the tests, they will likely call you and discuss. The important thing to note here is that there is absolutely no commitment or obligation to buy anything from Audika post the test. It’s that simple.

If it feels like you are earning points/miles faster than you are burning them, take comfort in the fact that you are not alone. The situation around corona virus might worsen in coming weeks and that could lead to businesses coming out with even more aggressive promotions.
