Qantas have just announced their Double Status Credits or Double Points promotion. If you have any upcoming travel plans, it makes perfect sense to pounce on it.

Double Status Credits or Double Points

Under the terms of the offer, Qantas Frequent Flyers can opt to either earn Double Status Credits or Double Points on future Qantas flights during the promotional period. So which one should it be?

If you are a loyal Qantas or Oneworld frequent flyer and value holding elite status in the program, you will be better served by electing to earn bonus status credits. On the other hand, if you fly occasionally, and mainly on Business or First-Class tickets which come with many of the elite perks anyway, then perhaps choosing to earn Double Points is the way to go.

Qantas B-787 Business Class Seat

One important factor to consider while making the selection is that Qantas releases a lot more Business & First Class Classic Flight Reward Seats to its elites than non-elites, so holding a Gold or Platinum status may come handy if you frequently redeem Qantas points.

Booking Dates and Travel Period

To be eligible to earn bonus status credits or points :

  • Make sure you Register for the offer.
  • Make a new booking between 23 March and 28 March 2023 for travel between 29 March 2023 and 28 February 2024.
  • Travel must be on Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number.

In other words, you will not be eligible for this promotion if you fly another Oneworld airline and credit your flight to Qantas, even if the flight has a QF flight number attached to it.

Make your selection over here, and choose wisely 😉
