Hilton have opened registration for it’s maiden 2023 promotion which starts on 1st January 2023 and lasts until 30th April 2023.

Note that the current Hilton promo, Double Your Stay is still in play until 31st December 2022. Under this offer, Hilton Honors members earn:

• Double points on all qualifying stay.
• An additional 2,000 points on stay where they check-out on a weekday (Mon-Fri).

Further, members will also be earning double elite night credits for each qualifying night they stay with Hilton, including any award stays.

All around that’s a pretty solid offering and if you are a Hilton loyalist, I hope you have been making the most of it since the promo has been running since 11th October 2022.

Double Up & Explore

Hilton’s promotion launching on New Year’s Day is called Double Up & Explore. Under this promo, Hilton Honors members will earn double points on all qualifying stays, plus an extra 1,000 points per stay at each different Hilton brand.

As always, registrations are essential to be eligible for bonus points. It should take you less than a minute to register which you can do through this link. All Hilton hotels and resorts globally are participating in this promotion, there are no exclusions which is great.

Earning Points with Hilton

All Hilton Honors member earn 10x points regardless of their status in the Honors program. Elite members are then awarded bonus points based on the level of their status.

Specifically :

• Diamond members earn 100% bonus points which equates to 20x points or 20 points per $
• Gold members earn 80% bonus points which equates to 18x points or 18 points per $
• Silver members earn 20% bonus points which equates to 12x points or 12 points per $

Note that the bonus points are applied to the base points and not to any applicable tier bonuses.

For example, under the promotion starting on 1st January 2023 – a Hilton Diamond member staying at a unique brand and spending $200 will earn 20x base points (double points) plus 10x points (100% tier bonus), plus another 1,000 points (unique brand) for a total of 7,000 points on the stay. That is like earning 35x points which is a fantastic deal.

One thing to be aware of, particularly for members outside United States is that points are awarded based on US$ spending. In addition, fees and taxes are excluded and do not count towards earning points.

In Conclusion

When it comes to hotel loyalty programs, Hilton Honors continues to set the pace by offering year-round promotions without a single days gap. None of it’s competitors offer anything remotely as good.

The upcoming Double Up & Explore promo isn’t as good as some of the previous Hilton promotions where members have been able to earn triple points on eligible stays. Even so, if you are a road warrior or have extensive travel plans in early 2023, the promotion is worth considering when making your bookings.
