Marriott’s last global promotion ended on 23 April 2023. Since then Marriott have been holding off on any new promos, which is not really a surprise given their recent track record.

These days, Marriott have become the stingiest of all the major hotel chains when it comes to offering promotions. Anyhow, even though we don’t know when Marriott would launch their next global promotion it would appear that a new targeted offer has been sent to several members.

Stay Twice Earn a Free Night

Under the terms of the offer, members who register for the offer and complete 2 eligible stays within the offer period can earn a free night. This will be awarded in the form of a 35,000 points Free Night Certificate.

You can use the certificate to book a single night at any Marriott property to the tune of 35,000 points. And since Marriott allows topping-off of the Free Night Certificate with up to 15,000 additional points, these are good for a single night stay costing up to 50,000 points.

Here are some of the important terms of the offer :

• The offer is only available to targeted members, registration is essential. You need to login to your Marriott Bonvoy account or use the app to register since this is not a public offer.
• Offer period starts the same day after the member registers and continues through the end of the month, plus an additional two months.
• Only paid stays count towards the offer, stays booked with points are excluded.
• A stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity,
• The Free Night Award will be added to the member’s account within three to five business days after the second qualifying stay, and is valid for six months from the date of issuance.

I am not normally targeted for these offers, presumably cos I make enough stays with Marriott anyway. On this occasion though, I am. A lot of people I have spoken to have also been sent the offer, so I would urge that you check your account to see if you happen to be a lucky recipient too.

In Conclusion

A new targeted offer from Marriott has gone out to select members. Targeted members who register for the offer and complete 2 eligible stays within the offer period can earn a 35,000 points Free Night Certificate.

One thing to remember is that the Free Night Certificate issued under this promotion has a short 6 month validity, which is disappointing. Normally, members have up to 12 months to use the certificate from the date of issue.

Personally speaking, I already had a couple of stays booked with Marriott. So I won’t need to go out of the way to take advantage of the promotion.
